I enjoy participating in several outdoors sports during the spring and summer. From outdoor camping to camping hiking to fishing I enjoy them all. But my favorite outdoors sports activity during the spring and summer is fishing and this year I might give Carp fishing a try. Most of the lakes I fish do not offer Carp fishing but the Ohio River and Middle Island Creek are good carp waters, and these bodies of water are close by, so if I can find an experienced Carp fishing fisherman to show me the ropes and techniques i will fish for this fish. I have heard the Carp is a strong fish and puts up a good fight and this is why I fish. I am a catch and release fisherman for the most part. I occasionally will keep a few crappie and yellow perch for a fish fry as these are very delicious fish but the majority of fish I catch I release back into the lake or stream. Trout is the other fish I do keep as they are great broiled over a grill.

I have a huge outdoor camping trip planned to the White Mountains end of this month!

I am very excited to already be in the month of March, because at the end of this wonderful month, during the last weekend, my younger brother Andrew and his fiancé, as well as my wife and I will be embarking from Phoenix way up north to the gorgeous splendor of the White Mountains for another great outdoor camping trip. I have not been on an outdoor camping trip to this area in years, and it will be really great to see all of the sites that are up there, including the rare and pristine Riparian Plains. Also, if you are not in the know, outdoor camping trips to this area are great for those who love to fish for trout, like my brother and I do. Indeed, according to some things that I have read online, there are rainbow, brown and the very rare Apache trout that you can fish for up there. And, there are tons of great outdoor camping sites that you can book in and around this serene area. I just can’t wait for the end of the month to arrive!

        My friend Jack and I love to wake up, very early, before the first rays of the beautiful sun have even come up, and go out Carp Fishing. It has been our ritual for the last few decades, and I think that we will do it our entire lives. It is so fun to wake up, and know that I have to look forward to spending time with my best friend, and just sit and talk with him.
        Most of the time, we talk about Carp Fishing, or how our families are doing. We both love to get out of the busy city, and just relax in the wilderness. It is so amazing to just sit out at the lake, and just hear the beautiful sounds of nature. I love being able to hear birds chirping, and the howl of the wolverine. I do not know of anything more relaxing or calming than going out Carp Fishing with my friend.
        Sometimes, I will take my wife, Mari, out with us. She sort of likes to go fishing, but not nearly as much as my friend and I do.

When I was young, I belonged to the Girl Scouts and we participated in camping and outdoor activities to win merit badges. Not too many kids today belong to the Scouts and I think they are missing a lot of fun. My husband and I have decided that we should get the kids interested in outdoors sports and we should go outdoor camping instead of camping in front of the TV. I went online and found some wonderful items for us to take on our new adventure. I think the children are even excited about the upcoming trip. For our first trip, we are going to a camping site close to where we live and we will make it a short one, just to get used to it. I really can't wait to sit around the campfire and roast marshmallows. I have also planned to bring a few ghost stories to tell in the dark of night. Camping hiking and other outdoor activities are good for ones health and are a great way for the family to spend quality time together.

There are so many times per year where my friends and I, and quite often a few of my siblings will embark upon many outdoor sports camping trips. These are days that I avidly look forwards to because I know that we are going to get some great camping hiking in, and I so do very much enjoy camping hiking trips—and while I usually go on about a dozen or so camping hiking trips per year, which averages to about one time per month, I would never fret if I could easily double that number to two times per month. Setting a Nice Table Important Even When We're Outdoor Camping

When we go outdoor camping, we like to have colorful camping gear with us, and today I found this practical way to bring a little color and decoration into our eating utensils and plates and all the other things that need to be on the table to eat a meal. This includes service for four which is plenty for us and the silverware is actually stainless steel, not plastic. The plates are melamine, there are four plastic goblets and cotton napkins, as well as a bottle opener and salt and pepper shakers.

I love this color green, so of course I ordered it right away. The bag all these things come in is also insulated which may make it useful for shopping in town, too. In the heat of the summer, we wouldn't think of buying ice cream or other frozen deserts without a cooler along. Although we have air conditioning in the car, sitting in the parking lot locked up will raise the interior temperature to over 120 quickly. It's also summer in Phoenix that motivates us to go outdoor camping whenever we have a free weekend, which is usually once a month or so.

Camping Hiking and Spotting a Coyote

The clouds were beginning to burn off as I rolled out of my sleeping bag with the smell of sausage and the sound of crackling bacon grease on the BBQ. A friend was up with the rising sun preparing some breakfast protein for our upcoming hike through the forest. One of us is still in the tent as breakfast is forked onto paper plates. Instead of waking him up the polite way that same friend who cooked the food grabs his rifle deom a duffle of camping hiking gear and fires down range to a stump target. The explosion wakes him up.

Outdoor camping gear secured in the trucks, we hit the trail. Actually, it is more of just open wooded terrain. We’re making our own trail. Down a valley littered with tree stumps, dead branches and green grass.We leave bright red markers on random trees to avoid any return confusion. Coming up over a hill, no more then 50 yards away a wiry light brown Coyote raises his snout towards us. We pause and the coyote sniffs the air before leaping through a prickly patch of thorns. Outdoor camping makes a lot of sense in moments like this.

There are so many great places that I have been eyeing for planned outdoor camping trips that I have on my agenda this year that I am just getting all giddy with excitement. If you knew how much I adore going on outdoor camping trips, then you would know that I have amassed quite the pristine collection of outdoor camping gear over the years and that furthermore, there is nothing I would rather do – with the exception of perhaps a vacation to Hawaii – than outdoor camping with my friends and family. There are just so many great things that you get to do when on outdoor camping trips that I always return home filled with fresh memories of happy days spent in the woods sharing great moments that are hard to beat. Things like hiking, fishing and rock climbing would easily top the list of reasons why I love outdoor camping. Of course, escaping the city and enjoying the fineries of Mother Nature is a cake topper too! Lucky for me, I have about six trips already planned this year, and I just can’t wait!

If there is one thing that I really enjoy escaping from the confines of the concrete jungle that I live in that comprises Phoenix, Arizona – which I love, mind you – is camping hiking trips that I embark upon with my friends and family quite frequently. There are so many great camping hiking sites that are scattered around this desert that finding a place is the easiest part, and I have found that it is also fun to do because you can easily plan great camping hiking trips by looking around online, and to boot, some of the camping hiking sites even have online portals where you can make reservations for the camp ground and really plan your camping hiking trips in advance. Why I Love Outdoor Camping

The scent of musky city pollution is nowhere near us. The white pickup truck bounces up and down the rocky trail snaking back and forth up a mountain high above the desert Saguaro cacti we left after 20 minutes driving north on the freeway. As I stare out the rear cab window at tall Pines sprouting out of the brown dust covered terrain, our outdoor camping hear bounces like Mexican Beans. It is noon and the sun is blanketing us with a beautiful day. Around the next gravel bend, a large manmade lake comes into view below the trail. We are looking for an outdoor camping site far enough away from any other tents but still close enough to the lake for morning carp fishing.

An open grass field comes into view peppered with deteriorating trees fallen from a past storm and pinecones. Smiling we pull off the trail into the grass before hopping out and grabbing the outdoor camping gear now in different places from the truck bed. If we stopped talking it would be completely silent. Completely peaceful.

We are getting ready for the spring and summer outdoor camping season and I've worked hard on getting our camping gear well organized so that when the urge hits us to go camping, we're ready within an hour or so. There are some amazing places for outdoor camping within 20 miles of home, so it's not hard for us to pull off a three day camping trip with very little to do to get ready and a very short drive to our destination.

This summer, however, we want to try to find some new places in the mountains to go outdoor camping. There is so much public land in Arizona that is perfect for outdoor camping and it is reachable by following forest service maps and old logging roads. However, it's a lot of work to read those maps and it's not that hard to miss a turn, so this year, we added this GPSMAP® 60 Personal Navigation Unit so that we can navigate anywhere in the US. This unit has a lot of city data on it which we will also find really handy when we're driving around town. I selected this one for outdoor camping because it is small and runs on AA batteries.

All my siblings have one making me the last in the family to use 21st Century technology to navigate my way just about anywhere. That is something that my husband will really like because when we he loves to go fishing when we're outdoor camping.

I love it when he catches a lot of fish for our dinner when we're out. Nothing tastes better than freshly grilled fish over a campfire and if this Garmin tells him the best times when the fish are biting, he might be able to sleep in a little longer when we're outdoor camping. He's the quietest guy in the world, so he seldom wakes me when he unzips the tent in the predawn hours, but if he doesn't have to get up before 5 AM, we'll all be happier. I'm pretty excited about the outdoor camping season just ahead of us and exploring new territory with our Garmin GPS, knowing precisely where we are all the time, something that will be a relief for all of us.

Spring break is coming up soon and my family is going to go outdoor camping for most of the week. Hopefully the weather will cooperate, but even if it doesn't, we will go anyway. We are considering renting a small RV for the trip so we can bring along my mom who loves outdoor camping but likes human comforts while enjoying the great outdoors. She and my dad used to have a pull-behind trailer and they had many good times out camping. Since he passed, she has not been outdoor camping and I think it would be good for her to get outdoors for days on end to enjoy outdoor camping once again.

To that end, I ordered this nice 10pc Beverage Vacuum Bottle Set that she can use for her morning coffee. We drink tea instead and it's easy to brew compared to coffee. There is a beautiful mountain park just a few miles from our home that has full hookups for RVs and camping trailers, so she'll be able to bring a coffee maker in case there isn't one provided in the rental, brew up a pot of coffee and keep it hot all morning long with this vacuum bottle set. An Outdoor Camping Dilemma

I get a call from a friend this morning who asks if I have any weekend plans. Being Monday and generally not planning activities this far ahead I respond hesitantly with no. He then pitches me the idea of getting some people together for outdoor camping in a desert spot about two hours away. It sounds like a great idea as long as I can get work off. My other dilemma is none of my outdoor camping supplies is in the apartment. My tent is still back home in the parent’s garage and the sleeping bag I did have is in the trash after a roommate took it on a houseboat where for whatever reason was infested with ants. My theory is he accidently left the sleeping bag open during the day maybe with crumbs in it that attracted the critters.

I wasn’t mad at him at the time because he came back with a face rash from whatever it really was in the sleeping bag. Anyway, camping this week means I’d have to find outdoor camping supplies online today or at the latest tomorrow. Quite a lot of work ahead of me.

I have always loved to go on amazing outdoor camping trips in the outback ever since I was a teeny toddler and my parents took me on my very first outdoor camping trip. Ever since that day, oh so long ago, I have enjoyed very much so, the many different adventures that outdoor camping trips can yield. For me, there is nothing that I enjoy more than escaping from the confines of my concrete jungle and really getting away from it all with an exciting outdoor camping trip adventure. I have so many great camping trips that are planned during the rest of this year, and my family and I just love carp fishing when we are on camping trips. There are some awesome outdoor camping trips that I have planned for this year so far, and I think that if I counted them all up there would be about six or seven that my family is planning on embarking upon; we all love outdoor camping trips in this clan. That being said, I have been gathering up all of my outdoor camping trips gear and just looking over what other items I could possible add to my ever growing collection of gear so that I have the best tools as possible when on outdoor camping trips. The one thing that I have noticed when we are on outdoor camping trips is that it can get really, really dark, fairly quickly, and before you know it, you can’t see more than a few feet in front of your face. Lexan Martini Glasses Perfect for Outdoor Camping

Today when I was looking online for new camping gear, I found a perfect martini glass for a family friend who has a late afternoon ceremony of sipping a martini after he gets home from work or outdoor camping. He has a reputation for going through martini glass after martini glass. These are the GSI LEX Martini Glasses and I ordered four of them for him, not because they will break, but because I'm a female with the matching gene and thought that they would not only make a nice display in his dining room hutch, but also good to have when he's entertaining. He's a bachelor but is very social, and likes having nice things.

The LEX stands for lexan, which is a nice plastic that is almost indestructible. They are scratch resistant, almost impossible to crack or break, and should last a long time. I've admired the Lexan products and am glad that I found these for him. Now he can take the glasses when he's outdoor camping and still enjoy his martini ritual. Once in a while he and my husband like to go carp fishing and outdoor camping for a few days at a time. There's a wonderful lake and campground just 15 miles from our house and the carp in that lake are huge. They are considered an invasive fish in our lakes, so the state game department encourages people to fish for them, and not practice catch and release. From time to time, they will find food vendors who are interested in buying their catch, and our friend and my husband enjoy being able to make a little money and having fun outdoor camping at the same time.

My younger brother Douglas lives in beautiful and serene Long Beach, California. I am planning on heading out there to visit with him for about a week towards the end of this month, and I just can’t wait to arrive there—as it has been quite a while since I was in CA. We are going to do some beachside, tropical outdoor camping while there, and my brother has told me that there are some really nice overnight spots that you can find that line the beach, as long as you book them in advance, as outdoor camping beach spots in CA go really fast, according to my younger brother. I am not too worried, as he is not a procrastinator, and like me, is a protagonist for planning things accurately, properly and ahead of time. The only thing I am worried about is that the outdoor camping will go by so quickly, as will my time spent with my dear brother, and before I know it, it will be time to return to Arizona. But that’s okay because he is coming out in March to visit me for my birthday!

Remebering The First Carp Fishing Trip

My grandfather was the first person to ever take me carp fishing and for that I love him dearly. While in the car filled with excitement about my first day as a carp fishing enthusiast he would tell me all kinds of stories about his carp fishing years and about some of the most interesting people he’s met while in the carp hunt. For just that moment, I felt like a gown up, I mean, here I was on my way to do some real man carp fishing and hanging with my grandpa talking as if we were equals. I was just a little kid, but my grandfather had the incredible ability of making me feel like a giant whenever I was in his presence. When we arrived at his favorite carp fishing spot, all I could think about was how long it would take me to catch my first and how big it would be. In my mind it would have been totally awesome and my first test of manhood if I could take a photograph with a large carp in my hands with my grandfather right beside me. Well, that little boys’ dream came true about two hours into our carp fishing session and my grandpa could not have been more proud.

I would never think of going on an outdoor camping trip or camping hiking jaunt without at least one good flashlight. When I am packing my outdoor camping gear for a weekend of camping hiking I make sure I have my two favorite flashlights and spare batteries.
