Ever since our son went on an outdoor camping trip last summer with a group of his friends, he’s been trying to get us to go for a week as a little family get away.   I’ll be the first one to admit that the idea of outdoor camping is a little scary to me, but probably because I’m scared of the dark.    After talking at great length to my husband about this little endeavor we both decided that we really should take our son up on his idea and spend a week doing a little outdoor camping.  

I knew I wanted to make this outdoor camping adventure as enjoyable as possible, so I’ve been spending some time online ordering camping supplies and other goodies to keep me comfortable.   My husband has laughed at the amount of supplies that I’ve ordered for the outdoor camping trip, but I figure if we all like it as much as our son does, then it definitely won’t be our last trip and could be something that we start doing quite regularly.   Even though I am a little nervous about it, I am actually looking forward to it.  I think it will be fun.
