outdoor campingI have never been outdoor camping in my entire life.  My parents never cared for camping, so we never went.  I never even had any friends who went camping.  Now that I am an adult, with a husband and children, I'd like to try outdoor camping for the first time.  If for nothing else just to say that I have been once.  And I would love for my children to have the experience before they are adults.  They are very outdoorsy kids, and I think they would enjoy outdoor camping.  Since this is my first camping trip, I have made a list of things I might need to bring. There are so many things to consider when going outdoor camping! I know a tent is necessary and an air mattress for myself (I have a bad back).  I also want camping cookware, a cook stove, water bottles for hiking, and a flashlight.  A flashlight is so useful for outdoors fun. When it gets dark and there are no lights nearby, it is pitch dark out and I'll want to be able to see.  I'll need to see to cook dinners, and when we are asleep I'll want a flashlight nearby to see what is around us if I hear noises (and I'm sure I will!)  I might be a bit paranoid since I've never been camping before.
