outdoor camping  When I was looking online today for supplies for outdoor camping, I ran across this water purifier that would be a good idea to stock in our camping gear, whether or not we would use it. The tragic earth quake in Haiti is but another example of having some of these around for emergencies. Actually, when I was backpacking, we ran out of water on a long hike and one of these water purifiers would have been pretty handy if we'd been able to find any water in the canyons we struggled through. The temperature was in the high 80's which meant that we were becoming more dehydrated with every step we took. It took me days to recover from the damaging effects of that dehydration.

We now go outdoor camping in campgrounds that have drinking water so we don't worry about it too much. But I think it would be smart to order some of these just for emergencies. If we're outdoor camping, they'll be in the camping gear and when we're at home, they'll be in the garage where they should keep for a long time. These bottles are used around the world by militaries, rescue organizations, and just smart people who know that when they're outdoor camping and want to drink the cleanest possible water. I'm ordering these to be on the safe side to be ready for whatever nature hands us at home or outdoor camping.
