camping hiking


Camping hiking is an outdoor activity that can be done all year around where I live in the Southwest. My friends and I take off at least once a month to enjoy the wonderful outdoors. In the summer months we often head up north into the mountains and the cool weather. There we get into camping hiking through the wooded forest trails.

In winter we usually stay in the desert locales as the weather can be a little too harsh up north. Desert camping hiking includes day hikes to old mines and looking for gems and minerals. One has to be careful when poking around old mines and stay clear of the mouths just in case they are a little faulty. It is cool though to experience what the Southwest cowboys and miners may have gone through during that heyday.

My friends and I just love the outdoors and checking out new places for camping hiking. We research locales on the internet and always attempt to talk to the people who live in the spots we visit to get background information. Sometimes we just take off for an area with no specific destination in mind. It is on those trips we have often found some of the neatest spots.
