Friends Love Camping Hiking and Getting Outdoors |
| 1/14/2010 3:10:09 PM |
I have been really lucky to stay close to many of the guys I grew up hanging out with. Some of us went to the same college and now live in the same area and some went elsewhere but after a good five years are now close by. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, camping hiking and outdoor adventures just came with the territory. As soon as I could tie my shoes, the woods in our backyard became the ultimate playground. Through college, I kept up on outdoor camping. The desert is a different landscape then big rivers, evergreen trees and high elevation but unique in its own right.
Since moving closer to the coast, I have been hiking but no outdoor camping yet. At this point in the season it is a bit chilly at night but come Spring, the tent, BBQ, beer and supplies are going into the truck and up to the woods. Now so many close friends live nearby it won’t even be a question. Before Spring, I definitely need to go online for new outdoor camping supplies. Much of my stuff is still at my parent’s house.
