camping and hiking

     Camping and hiking have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My parents and I would go on these long camping and hiking adventures in remote places through out the Americas. We were in South America, Panama I believe, and about two weeks into the trip we came across this beautiful waterfall. I remember standing there in awe, mouth agape in wonder at this monster waterfall. We decided to set up our camp there, and enjoy the rest of the day. We started exploring the area, and my father called my mom and I over to where he was at. He found some really cool looking glyphs that had been painted onto the rock wall behind the waterfall.

     We had a blast that summer, and many others as well. I am a lot older now, and I still do a lot of camping and hiking. I have a few friends that are about twenty years younger than I am that have a hard time keeping up with me. I owe it all to my parents, and those wonderful vacations.
