outdoors sports Who doesn’t like jumping in the pool and cooling off when the sun is beating down on a weekend afternoon? Not many people which is why a friend threw a pool party this past weekend at his apartment complex. It was a small gathering but including the people who were randomly sunbathing poolside, we were able to get some outdoors sports going. Tying a string from umbrella stand to umbrella stand across the pool to act as a net line, we got 8 people together for some wet and wild volleyball. As far as outdoors sports go, pool volleyball is my favorite in water.

We didn’t have an actual volleyball so we used a blow up ball that caught the wind and floated around when smacked to hard. It was fun because the ball made it less competitive so everyone was having a great time. No one came out with bloody noses after being spiked on and the blow up ball gave us extra time to dive over for highlight reel saves. Outdoors sports in the sun need to be cherished today because tomorrow the weather might not be so nice.
