carp fishingThere is a video attached below of a French fisherman holding his prized Carp catch of the day on the shore with his raft in the foreground. Now I have never been carp fishing where a single catch calls for using two arms to hold the thing up but the guy in the clip below is doing just that.  The more I look at similar videos advertised next to this one the more I wonder where these people are Carp fishing. There is a whole slew of international Carp fishing videos where the foreign anglers are holding up some massive 30+ pound Carp. I don’t know if they just grow bigger over there but I have only caught little Carp.

 

It must have something to do with the bait. I don’t even know if my pole could pull in such a big fish. I always like carp fishing because many times you can catch these guys off the shore. I can think of a lot of childhood camping trips where the parents would stay back having drinks, laughing and cooking while us kids went carp fishing from supplies we bought online. There were a few times the kids brought home the dinner, fresh in a silver bucket. Nothing like fresh fish.
