As a fishing fanatic I spend a lot of time enjoying this popular outdoors sports activity but my fishing is limited to lakes and streams for trout, bass, and other species of fish. Until I spoke a guy I ran into who fishes in local rivers I was unaware of how many people are out there Carp fishing. He told me of several of his more exciting Carp fishing experiences in local waters. I have caught carp before but it was more by accident than actually Carp fishing specifically. I thought the Carp put up a good fight but I really did not know what to do with the fish so I released it back into the water. This Carp fishing gentleman offered to take me along on one of his quests for a huge Carp and after listening to him tell of catching large Carp and the long fights they put up I am inclined to take him up on his offer. Who knows, I might give up fishing for the smaller species and become a Carp fishing fanatic.
