Outdoors Sports and the Frisbee |

When you think of outdoors sports I bet the frisbee isn't the first thing that comes to mind! Once you play a game of frisbee you will understand what a good and fun workout it actually can be! Chasing a frisbee raises the heart rate and works those calves and upper leg muscles. Throwing the disc is good for shoulders, wrists and arm muscles. Playing outdoors sports in the fresh air and the sun is good for those sometimes elusive sleep patterns.
My boyfriend and I play outdoors sports when we go to the beach or camping. Playing frisbee on the beach presents an especially good leg workout because the sand can be difficult to run through. Plus the foot scrub is not a bad thing, I like the natural removal of callouses and dead skin, who needs a spa treatment? When camping we find an open area and play frisbee baseball with our fellow campers.
We often play outdoors sports in the park by our apartment. Sometimes it is softball, football and other times we play frisbee. Usually a bunch of college students will gather in the park around dusk. This is a great way to end a day of classes, study and work. Next time you think of outdoors sports, don't forget the frisbee! |
