outdoor camping, camping hikingIt is amazing to me how cold some parts of the country already are. I was talking to a long time friend last night who moved out to Denver after college. He loves where he’s at and went on to say he already has his season’s pass for snowboarding. He was saying this while I was walking down the street in 85 degree weather. The southern west coast isn’t anywhere near snow but getting outside of the city to the outdoor camping hotspots is still a frosty undertaking.

It may be warm during the day here, but driving 45 minutes east, into the desert, the temperature changes a lot. Especially at night. Camping hiking and other outside activities after the sun goes down is getting pretty nippy around here which has me looking around online for some thermal garbs to beat the frosty weather when we do go outdoor camping this winter. One great thing about living in a hot climate is outdoor camping is possible year round. Being an outdoors type of person there is no beating that.
