outdoors sports, camping hikingThis time of the year where there are only a limited amount of outdoors sports to choose from because of the weather.I wouldn’t want to go swimming in a lake this afternoon. Well, I guess that depends on where you live. Over here, it has been getting pretty cold but hiking is still on the top of my list for getting active outside. I found a local trail in the surrounding hills that starts off as a paved path but then turns into a more rural dirt trail. The hills surround the city so at the top there is a spectacular view of downtown and the neighborhoods below.

I actually like that the sun is going down earlier because that means taking a late afternoon hike while it is still light out will most likely end in a darker way down. When the top of the trail offers a nice view of the city, those nighttime lights really glimmer. It makes for a really good picture. Outdoors sports are a bit chillier these months but it is nothing a few more layers can’t fix. Camping hiking and breaking a sweat is a lot easier when it’s not 100 degrees outside.
