Our wet night of outdoor camping. |

I bet I am far from the only outdoor camping enthusiast who has set off for a weekend of outdoor camping with a non rain proof tent because the weather forecast called for a clear dry weekend. Well, as is usually the case, the weather forecast proved to be wrong as after spending a dry Friday night the sky opened up late Saturday and poured down rain. We retreated to the tent until to our surprise the rain began to leak in until the tent offered no protection at all. All our outdoor camping gear we had hurriedly stuffed into the tent was soaked as we ran from the tent and hoped into our vehicle. What had been a very nice outdoor camping trip was quickly ruined because we did not have a rain proof tent. We spent the last night in the car and let me say this was one sleepless miserable night. 4 people trying to sleep in a small sedan is not a fun experience so when we finally arrived back home on sunday one of the first things I did was go online and buy a guaranteed rain proof tent with plenty of extra room to store out outdoor camping gear if we ever get caught in a sudden storm again.
