My husband is a huge fan of outdoors sports and so he has promised our grandchildren an outdoor camping vacation at some point before they go back to school at the end of August. I was born and raised in an urban environment and I have only been outdoor camping once in my life, so for me it will be quite an adventure and I am not yet sure how I will react to it. My husband plans to take the grandchildren fishing during the outdoor camping trip. I do not fish and I don’t intend to start now so I will take a good book and relax while they are fishing. I like natural scenery such as woods and lakes so I intend to make the most of the tranquil environment. Although I have very little experience of outdoor camping I must say I am looking forward to the trip. The part I am most excited about is lighting a campfire and telling stories around it at night. I am sure that the outdoor camping trip will be fun although if there are strange noises from wild animals in the night I have a feeling that I may be the cause of much of the hilarity.
