For years I have been trying to get my brother to go camping with us. As kids we used to go outdoor camping every summer with our family. It was not just our parents, but the whole family. Grandpa would usually organize a week of outdoor camping for all of us. I really enjoyed it. It was not just an adventure it was an event.

Once my brother moved out on his own he stopped going camping with us. Now that my Grandpa has passed on it has been left to me to organize the family outdoor camping trips. I am determined to get my brother and his family back out again. He keeps telling me he does not have the time. So I decided this year to invite his girls. They can stay in the tent with my daughter. They are all about the same age. They are old enough to really enjoy outdoor camping. They seem interested in the swimming, hiking and boating. It will give them a chance to hang out with all their cousins and the rest of the family. I hope that they have such a great time it reminds my brother of all the fun we used to have. Maybe he will want to come next year and if not his girls are always welcome to join us.
