Just because winter and cold weather has arrived does not stop me from participating in outdoors sports. The one outdoors sports I spend much of my time doing during winter is hunting and riding ATV's and dirt bikes. I also have done a bit of outdoor camping in the winter but now that I am a bit older I would rather spend the day enjoying outdoors sports and then come home to a nice warm home and build a roaring fire in the fire place. Be it hunting or riding a motorcycle I always dress for the weather conditions. I learned long ago the importance of dressing properly for winter outdoors sports activities as there have been occasions when I would jump on one of my dirt bikes or the ATV planning on going for a short ride, and end up riding far longer. The result was frozen toes, fingers, chattering teeth, and a bad cold or worse, the flu. Same thing with going for a short hours hunt that turns into half the day. Not these days. Now when I participate in outdoors sports i dress accordingly and am ready to go the next day.
