Hand Warmers Becoming Standard Gear for Outdoor Camping |

Weather permitting, we're going outdoor camping for four days between Christmas and New Year's, and while we're camping at desert elevations, it can still be cold in the morning. I ordered dozens of these hand warmers for us. They are inexpensive and can be really useful for getting or staying warm in cold temperatures or climates. I think these are something to keep on hand in our camping hiking gear all the time. Even in the summer, it can be nippy when outdoor camping in the summer at high elevations. It's not unusual to have temperatures in the mid 30's, and when it's that cold in the summer, hands are really chilly and stiff first thing in the morning. These hand warmers carry heat for up to 18 hours. Once my brother and I were outdoor camping and we decided to jump into a very cold lake in the mountains. It was so cold it was numbing immediately, and one of these hand warmers would have been very welcome the moment we got out of that frigid water. For our winter outdoor camping trip this December, they'll be so useful for early morning and evenings. We'll probably be considering the hand warmers the best thing we got for Christmas this year!
